Himachal Pradesh Cabinet Meeting Likely on November 22, Several Key Decisions Expected
The Himachal Pradesh cabinet meeting is likely to be held on November 22. The discussion will focus on the drafts of bills to be presented during the upcoming winter session at Tapovan, Dharamshala. Agendas from several departments, including health and education, will also be included. Several other important decisions may also be finalized during the meeting.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu may travel to New Delhi on November 16 to attend the 32nd meeting of the Northern Regional Council, which will be held on November 17 in Surajkund. The meeting will be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, and Chief Secretaries from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, as well as the Union Territories of Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh have been invited. Interstate issues are expected to be discussed.
Additionally, a meeting on GST assessment, levy, and collection will be held at the State Secretariat on November 17. Chaired by Additional Chief Secretary of the Industry Department R.D. Najim, the meeting will include the Industry Director and officials from the Finance Department. The discussion will cover GST on minerals, review of past years’ revenue collection, and tax assessment.
