CM Sukhu Targets BJP, Announces Increase in Medical College Staff and AIIMS-Level Equipment
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took a dig at the BJP, saying only those with moral credibility should talk about ethics. He added that the BJP has nothing substantial to raise.
At Ridge Ground, Shimla, the CM announced that medical college staff will be increased to ensure patients do not face any difficulties. In Rampur, he stated that AIIMS-level equipment will be installed at IGMC Shimla and Chamiana within six months. He dismissed BJP’s allegations that 41 professors were removed from Nerchowk Medical College, calling it false.
Sukhu said every medical college will have a separate cadre, including IGMC. He also noted that 28 doctors from Nerchowk were posted to dispensaries in Mandi where there was a shortage.
Under the Sukhashray scheme, Himachal has become the first state in the country to provide government protection to children from birth up to 27 years of age.
Commenting on Bihar election results, Sukhu said Congress contested there as an alliance partner and detailed analysis will follow before making any further comments.
During the closing ceremony of the four-day International Lavi Fair, he highlighted efforts to restart trade and the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Shipki La, with correspondence ongoing with the central government. A proposal has also been made to provide land to landless families under the Forest Land Act.
