Cold Nights in Himachal Pradesh: Minimum Temperatures Drop Below Zero in Four Locations
Nights have turned colder in Himachal Pradesh due to a drop in minimum temperatures. Four locations in the state have recorded sub-zero temperatures. The lowest temperature was recorded in Tabo, Lahaul-Spiti, at -5.0°C, while the highest maximum temperature was observed in Una and Paonta Sahib at 27°C.
Dense fog was reported in Sundernagar and light fog in Bilaspur. Sunshine prevailed across the state, including Shimla, today.
According to the Meteorological Center, clear weather is expected across the state until 23rd November, with no chances of rain or snowfall. Experts said that the western disturbances are weak in mid-November, keeping the weather dry. Temperatures are falling in higher-altitude areas, but no extreme cold is expected. Minimum temperatures are likely to rise by 2-3°C over the next 2-3 days, while maximum temperatures will remain largely unchanged over the next 4-5 days.
