Himachal Pradesh: 18 Block Coordinators Removed from Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural)
In Himachal Pradesh, 18 block coordinators across eight districts have been removed from their positions by the Director of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural). Although coordinators were appointed at the district and block levels, 18 of them did not meet the required qualification criteria.
The Director issued letters to all district officials, stating that a minimum qualification of graduation is mandatory. The removed coordinators were reportedly only 10th and 12th pass.
Among those removed, there is 1 from Bilaspur, 1 from Hamirpur, 3 from Kangra, 1 from Kullu, 1 from Shimla, 7 from Sirmaur, 3 from Solan, and 1 from Una. The concerned deputy commissioners have forwarded the instructions to the respective development blocks, and necessary action has been initiated.
