Cold Wave Grips Himachal: Temperature Drops Below Freezing in Several Areas
The cold weather in Himachal Pradesh continues to intensify, with a sharp drop in temperature across most regions. The chill during mornings and evenings has increased notably. Cold wave conditions have strengthened in higher regions, while light fog has begun to cover the plains and valleys.
According to the Meteorological Department, minimum temperatures have fallen below 10°C in 25 locations across the state. Among these, eight places recorded temperatures below 5°C, and three locations were below freezing.
Keylong, Kukumseri, and Tabo recorded sub-zero temperatures, while Kalpa touched zero degrees. Due to the intense cold, water sources and taps in high-altitude areas have started to freeze. Light fog was reported in Bilaspur and Sundernagar.
The Shimla Meteorological Centre has predicted dry weather to continue till November 18. The drop in temperature has led to a rise in demand for heaters, blowers, and warm clothing. Meanwhile, tourist movement has increased in Manali and Shimla.

No major change in minimum or maximum temperatures is expected over the next four to five days.
