Woman Murdered in Devenagar, Live-in Partner Arrested
In Devenagar, Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district, a 50-year-old woman was allegedly murdered. The deceased, Mala Devi, originally from Uttar Pradesh, was living in Devenagar as a tenant.
According to the police, the accused, Shishpal (51), a resident of Ismailpur, Haryana, had been living with Mala Devi for the past 15 years. Last night, an argument broke out between the two, after which the accused allegedly killed the woman.
Police said that the accused was addicted to alcohol and drugs, and the couple frequently quarreled. After the incident, the police reached the scene, recovered the body, and initiated an investigation.
DSP Manvendra Thakur confirmed that the woman and the accused were in a live-in relationship. The accused, Shishpal, has been arrested for questioning, and a forensic team has been called to the scene to conduct further investigation.
