Himachal: HRTC Employees to Receive DA Arrears Soon, 12,000 Staff to Benefit
The Himachal Pradesh government is preparing to release DA arrears to HRTC employees soon. The arrears will cover the period from April to September. The file regarding this has already reached the Chief Minister’s office. Additionally, a 3% arrear will be added to employees’ salaries in October. Around 12,000 employees are expected to benefit from this decision.
The HRTC Employees Union had raised this demand with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. Employees had long been requesting the release of their DA arrears. The state government instructed the Road Transport Corporation management to submit a proposal. Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister had announced the release of a 3% DA installment and assured that the arrears would also be provided.
Pyar Singh, President of Himac
hal Transport Workers Union, along with Executive President Mayer Chand and General Secretary Harish Kumar, stated that employees’ demands were raised at the highest level. They expressed hope that the salaries would be credited to employees’ accounts within a day or two. They also highlighted that despite harsh cold and snow, HRTC employees continue to provide services and urged the government to ensure salaries are deposited in employees’ accounts on a fixed date, similar to other departments.
