Security Heightened in Himachal Pradesh After Delhi Terror Attack; Hotels and Guest Houses Under Strict Vigil
Following the recent terrorist attack in Delhi, security agencies in Himachal Pradesh have been put on high alert. On instructions from the state police headquarters, police across all districts have launched intensive inspections of registration records of tourists and other individuals staying in hotels, homestays, bed and breakfasts, and guest houses.
Operators have been instructed not to allow anyone to stay without valid identification and proper registration. Warnings have been issued at several locations where irregularities were found in registers. Officials stated that some hotel operators are still negligent in online registration or filling C-forms, posing a serious threat to security.
The cyber cell is also conducting online booking and data verification. Special monitoring is being carried out for visitors coming from other states due to the threat of terrorist attacks. Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Ashok Tiwari urged citizens to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the police.
