Kangra: Secret Navaratri Commences at Shri Jwalamukhi Temple, 81 Priests to Perform Special Rituals for Eight Days
Kangra: The renowned Shaktipeeth Shri Jwalamukhi Temple has officially inaugurated the sacred Secret Navaratri of Magh. The festival will continue until January 27, during which special prayers, chants, and rituals will be performed for world peace, human welfare, prosperity, and global well-being.
The ceremony was formally inaugurated with chants by DC Kangra Hemraj Vairwa and his wife. The event was attended by SDM Jwalamukhi Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, temple officer Manohar Lal Sharma, Tehsildar Rahul Sharma, temple trust members Divyanshu Bhushan Dutt, Uday Shankar Sharma, Jitesh Sharma, along with a large gathering of priests.
Priest Sabha President Avinendra Sharma oversaw the formal resolution, rituals, and Kanya Puja with DC Kangra and administered the recitation vows to the priestly participants.
During the Secret Navaratri, 81 priests and pandits will perform continuous special rituals for eight days, chanting Vedic and Tantric mantras of Maa Jwala, Batuk Bhairav, Ganapati, Gayatri, and other deities. The rituals are dedicated to invoking peace, welfare, and prosperity for the world.
The temple trust and Priest Sabha emphasized that ancient traditions are being followed with utmost devotion. According to tradition, the sadhana performed during Secret Navaratri is specifically dedicated to universal welfare, peace, and prosperity.
DC Kangra Hemraj Vairwa extended greetings to all residents and prayed to Maa Jwala for world peace, welfare, prosperity, and happiness.
