Himachal: 44 Cabinet Decisions Yet to Be Implemented on Ground, Sub-Committee Takes Notice

Himachal: Sub-Committee Flags Concern Over 44 Cabinet Decisions Pending Implementation

Several public welfare decisions taken in Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meetings have yet to be implemented on the ground. In response, the Cabinet sub-committee expressed strict concern and directed officials to implement the decisions seriously and within the stipulated timeframe.

Between January 13, 2023, and June 30, 2025, the Cabinet took a total of 1,160 decisions, of which 1,116 have already been implemented. The remaining 44 decisions were discussed in the Cabinet sub-committee meeting. These decisions pertain to departments such as finance, health, industry, water resources, multipurpose projects, energy, tourism, and transport.

The meeting was chaired by Revenue, Horticulture, Tribal Development, and Public Grievances Minister Jagat Singh Negi. Housing, Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, and Urban Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani, as well as AYUSH, Youth Services and Sports, and Law Minister Yadvindra Goma, were also present. Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretaries R.D. Nazim, Shyam Bhagat Negi, Principal Secretary Devesh Kumar, Member Secretary Harbans Singh Braskan, and others, attended the meeting.

Jagat Singh Negi instructed officials to implement the decisions promptly to ensure benefits reach the public. Rajesh Dharmani emphasized that every government officer and employee is accountable to the people and must act accordingly.
