AIIMS Bilaspur Introduces Advanced BiPAP Machines for Better Respiratory Care
At the Cardiology Department of AIIMS Bilaspur, patients suffering from serious heart and lung diseases will now receive enhanced treatment. The institute is preparing to introduce state-of-the-art BiPAP machines to provide artificial respiratory support.
These machines will be especially lifesaving for patients suffering from sleep apnea or breathing difficulties due to obesity. A key feature of these machines is the built-in two-hour battery backup, ensuring continuous respiratory support even during power outages.
The machines are equipped with sensors to monitor oxygen levels and air concentration, heated humidifiers and heated tubes to prevent dryness in the nose and throat during long-term use, and advanced alarm systems that alert doctors if the mask is removed or the tube is blocked.
Additionally, small, medium, and large masks will be provided for patients of all age groups. The machines meet ISO and BIS international standards and come with a two-year warranty and six years of comprehensive maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted service for the next eight years.
