Himachal: Recruitment for 331 Gramin Dak Sevak Posts, Online Applications Start from February 10
Shimla: The Postal Department of Himachal Pradesh has released a notification for the recruitment of 331 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts. Out of the total 331 posts, 137 are unreserved, 62 for OBC, 83 for Scheduled Castes, 12 for Scheduled Tribes, and 37 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
The online registration and application process will begin on February 10 and continue until March 3, 2026. Correction of any errors in the application will be allowed from March 6 to 8, 2026. The department has clarified that no applications or corrections will be accepted after the prescribed dates.
The recruitment will fill positions for Branch Post Master (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM), and Gramin Dak Sevaks. The selection process will be entirely merit-based, with no written examination. Candidates will be selected based on a merit list prepared from marks obtained in the 10th class.
The age limit for the recruitment is 18 to 40 years, with age relaxation provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per rules.
