Himachal: Bindal Attacks Sukhnu Government, Says Public Facing Taxes and Closed Institutions Instead of Development
BJP state president Dr. Rajeev Bindal launched a verbal attack on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, stating that the Congress government spent 40 months merely criticizing the BJP but took no concrete action for the development of the state or the welfare of the people.
Dr. Bindal said that the people of Himachal are now fully aware of the Congress government’s actions. He accused the government of making promises in the name of development while shutting down schools, colleges, hospitals, PHCs, veterinary hospitals, and government offices at the ground level.
He highlighted that the government is burdening the public with new taxes. Recently, diesel VAT was increased by ₹7.50, stamp duty, water and electricity charges were hiked, ration prices and HRTC bus fares were raised. The entry tax was increased up to 200 percent, hitting the public with another blow of inflation.
Dr. Bindal also alleged that the forest and mining mafias are running unchecked under the protection of Congress leaders. He warned that the public is watching everything and will hold the anti-people Congress government accountable for its policies in the coming time.
