Negligence on Duty: Four Police Personnel Suspended, Four Home Guard Members Sent Back to Battalion

Negligence on Duty: Nine Police and Home Guard Personnel Face Action in Solan

In Solan district, SSP Gaurav Singh has taken strict action against nine police and Home Guard personnel from three police stations for negligence on duty. Late Monday night, during a surprise inspection along the Kalka-Shimla National Highway, near Parwanoo, Dharampur, and Sadar Solan police jurisdictions, the officers were found to be negligent in their duties.

As part of the action, one Head Constable, one HHC, and two Constables were suspended, while another Head Constable was made line hazir (stood ready for inspection). Additionally, four Home Guard members were sent back to their battalion, with recommendations for departmental action against them.

The inspection was carried out at around 2:00 AM. While the officers were on patrol, lapses were found in the road checks, allowing vehicles to pass unchecked. SSP Gaurav Singh stated that the action was taken based on complaints regarding negligence during patrols.

He further emphasized that the Solan police will not tolerate any compromise on discipline at any level. Even minor lapses, especially in areas near the National Highway like Dharampur, Parwanoo, Kandaghat, and Solan, could have serious consequences.
