Room Tariffs Increased for Rest Houses and Circuit Houses in Himachal Pradesh
Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to revise the room tariffs of rest houses and circuit houses under the Public Works Department. The new rates have come into effect immediately.
Under this revision:
- Category A includes 33 rest houses located at major tourist destinations, the state capital, and district headquarters.
- Category B includes 59 rest houses at famous temples, spiritual sites, and sub-departmental headquarters.
- Category C covers 190 rest houses at other locations.
- Additionally, 21 circuit houses are also included in this revision.
The tariffs are set separately for Himachalis and non-Himachalis. All circuit houses will remain under the control of the respective District Collector, while rest houses will be managed by the respective departments.
New Tariffs (Key):
Category A Rest Houses:
- Himachalis: AC ₹800, Non-AC ₹600
- Non-Himachalis: AC ₹1000, Non-AC ₹800
Category B Rest Houses:
- Himachalis: AC ₹700, Non-AC ₹500
- Non-Himachalis: AC ₹900, Non-AC ₹700
Category C Rest Houses:
- Himachalis: AC ₹600, Non-AC ₹400
- Non-Himachalis: AC ₹700, Non-AC ₹500
Circuit Houses:
- Himachalis: AC ₹900, Non-AC ₹700
- Non-Himachalis: AC ₹1200, Non-AC ₹1000
The notification has been issued by the Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department.
