Himachal Weather: Temperature Drops Due to Rain and Snow, Yellow Alert for Strong Winds in Several Areas
Himachal Pradesh witnessed a sharp drop in temperatures across several regions due to rain and snowfall. Over the past 24 hours, maximum temperatures fell by 2-10°C at most stations, with several areas recording 3-7°C below normal. Minimum temperatures dropped to 2-5°C at some locations, with cold days in Manali and Mandi.
Shimla and nearby areas saw sunshine amid light clouds.

Weather Forecast
According to the Shimla Meteorological Center, light to moderate rain/snowfall is expected in some areas on 2nd and 3rd February. A yellow alert has been issued for lightning and winds of 30-40 km/h in several districts. Clear weather is expected on 4, 5, 7, and 8 February.
Scenic Beauty After Snowfall
The mountains in Kalpa and Manali shimmered like silver after the snowfall. Manali experienced fresh snowfall on Sunday night, leading to the temporary closure of Atal Tunnel for tourists and vehicles.
