Himachal News: CM Sukhu Hits Back at BJP Over RDG Issue, Says – Ask PM for Time, We Are Ready to Cooperate

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has hit back at the BJP over the RDG (Revenue Deficit Grant) issue. He stated that the BJP legislative party is going to meet the Governor, but they should focus on the interests of Himachal Pradesh and raise the issue of RDG losses.

The CM said that MLA Local Area Development Fund (MLALAD) will be released only when the state’s financial situation improves. He alleged that BJP leaders are obstructing the state government’s assistance by lobbying in Delhi. Sukhu highlighted that the Revenue Deficit Grant has been stopped, worsening the state’s financial condition, marking the first time RDG has been suspended in Himachal Pradesh.

He urged BJP leaders to join him in Delhi to advocate for the state’s interests and mentioned that the government will inform the public about what the central government has provided to Himachal in the past ten years. Sukhu also accused BJP MLAs of indulging in misinformation rather than discussing facts and pointed out that MLALAD funds are not being released to both BJP and Congress MLAs.

The CM emphasized that the issue must now be taken up directly with the Prime Minister, not just the Finance Minister, and urged BJP leaders to support the state’s case before the PM.
