Tragic Road Accident in Pachhad’s Dhangyar: Vehicle Returning from Wedding Falls into Gorge, Two Dead, Three Injured
A tragic road accident occurred around 8:30 AM on Thursday in Dhangyar, under the Pachhad Assembly constituency of Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh. A vehicle returning from a wedding in Dhana Bhumati village (Solan district) lost control at a sharp turn near Kila Kalanch village on the Naina Tikkar–Dhangyar road and fell into a deep gorge, approximately 150 meters below.
The accident led to the on-the-spot death of two individuals: Virender Dutt (54) from village Sothi and Leela Dutt (55) from village Dhar Brahmana. Three others were seriously injured, including the driver Keshav Dutt (41), Jaidev (40), and Kamal Chand (42), all from Dhar Brahmana.
Upon receiving the news, other members of the wedding party rushed to the spot. Rescue operations were initiated with the help of local residents. The injured were referred to MMU Medical College and Hospital in Sultanpur for advanced treatment. Jaidev and Keshav’s condition is reported to be critical.
Pachhad Police Station in-charge Jai Singh confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased have been sent to Sarahan Civil Hospital for post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
