Son of Former BJP MP Accused of Rape in Solan, FIR Lodged by Woman
Solan, Himachal Pradesh — A serious allegation of rape has been made against Brijeshwar Kashyap, son of former BJP MP from Shimla, Virender Kashyap. A woman has filed a complaint at the Women Police Station in Solan, accusing him of sexually exploiting her for two years under the false promise of marriage.
According to the complaint, when the woman insisted on marriage, Brijeshwar refused, prompting her to approach the police. A case has been registered, and investigation is currently underway.
Solan SP Gaurav Singh confirmed that the police have initiated a probe into the matter and any action, including arrest, will be taken after the investigation concludes.
This is the second such case involving relatives of BJP leaders in Solan. Earlier, the 81-year-old brother of BJP state president Rajeev Bindal was arrested following allegations of rape by a young woman under the pretext of medical treatment. He is currently in police custody.
