Six Specialist Doctors to Be Appointed in Every Civil Hospital of Himachal: CM Sukhu

CM Sukhu Announces Six Specialist Doctors in Every Civil Hospital; 24-Hour MS and Deputy MS Duty to Be Implemented in Major Hospitals

Shimla/Karsog:
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced that six specialist doctors will be appointed in every civil hospital across the state. Speaking at a public rally in Karsog on Saturday, the CM stated that despite financial restrictions imposed by the central government, the state government will not back down from providing OPS benefits to employees. The government has reinstated the old pension scheme to secure employees’ futures, following which the central government reduced Himachal’s borrowing limit by Rs 1,600 crore.

Targeting the previous BJP government, CM Sukhu alleged that they had emptied the state treasury, whereas the Congress government has efficiently utilized funds for public welfare schemes. He also assured that the promise to provide women with Rs 1,500 per month will be fulfilled soon and that all revenue-related services will soon be available online.

Additionally, the CM has directed the implementation of a 24-hour rotational duty system for Medical Superintendents (MS) and Deputy Medical Superintendents (Deputy MS) in major government hospitals. This step aims to ensure round-the-clock quality medical care and prompt administrative support. The Health Secretary has been instructed to implement this system promptly.

CM Sukhu also claimed that Himachal Pradesh will become the richest state in India by the year 2032.
