Industries with Investment Over ₹10 Crore to Get Approval; 38 New Projects to be Discussed in Single Window Meeting

Shimla: Entrepreneurs investing over ₹10 crore in Himachal Pradesh are set to receive approval for establishing industries on Monday. A Single Window meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, will be held in the afternoon to discuss proposals for setting up 38 new industries and expansion projects.

The meeting will consider projects in regions like Nalagarh, Baddi, Sirmaur, and Kangra, including industries for rifle parts, vehicle components, sports shoes, and pharmaceuticals. Companies such as Morpen Laboratory, Wings Company, and Dajet Angle have applied to set up pharma and rifle parts manufacturing units. If these projects materialize, the investment in Himachal will exceed ₹1,000 crore, providing direct and indirect employment to over 2,000 youth.

Jupiter Solar, Campus Activewear, Zydus, M Bros, and Samarth Life Sciences are among other companies planning investments in their respective sectors. The Industries Department has assured investors of timely approvals under one roof, fostering a favorable investment climate in the state.

Additionally, 150 companies have shown interest in setting up a bulk drug park in Haroli, Una district. The department is in continuous contact with investors and has also invited Japanese industrialists to invest in Himachal Pradesh.

Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan stated that the government is committed to attracting maximum investment to create more employment opportunities for the youth in the state.
