Relief for Outsourced Workers Before Diwali, Robotic Surgery to Begin at IGMC: CM Sukhu

In a major relief to thousands of outsourced and project-based employees in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the Finance Department to ensure timely disbursement of honorarium before Diwali. Additionally, contractors will also benefit, as pending payments up to ₹10 lakh will be cleared ahead of the festival.

CM Sukhu left for Delhi on Thursday afternoon to participate in election campaigning in Bihar.

Robotic Surgery to Start Soon at IGMC Shimla

After launching robotic surgery at AIIMS Chamyana and Tanda Medical College, the state government will soon introduce this advanced medical technology at IGMC Shimla. A total of 40 beds have been allocated at Kamla Nehru Hospital (KNH) for this purpose.

The Chief Minister announced that robotic surgery in the gynecology department will begin on a trial basis for three months, with KNH specialists also conducting elective surgeries at IGMC. A ₹25 crore diagnostic lab is also being set up, with funds already released to the college administration.

Demand for CBSE Schools in Jogindernagar

During a courtesy call in Shimla, Congress leader Jeevan Thakur from Jogindernagar constituency urged the Chief Minister to establish CBSE schools in Jogindernagar, Chauntra, and Ladbharol. The CM assured him that the demands would be considered sympathetically. Thakur also handed over a ₹11,000 cheque for the CM Relief Fund on behalf of the women's group from Tikkru, which the Chief Minister appreciated.
