Bilaspur: MBBS Student Raped on Pretext of Marriage, Accused Arrested from Chandigarh
A shocking case of rape has come to light from Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh, where an MBBS trainee at a reputed medical institute has accused a man from Uttar Pradesh of sexually exploiting her under the false promise of marriage and threatening her with a video.
According to the complaint, the accused called the student to Chandigarh about one and a half months ago. There, in a hotel, he allegedly forced himself on her and recorded a video of the act. He later used the video to threaten her, warning that he would make it viral if she spoke out.
Showing courage, the student filed a complaint at the Sadar police station. Acting swiftly, the police arrested the accused from Chandigarh. Additional Superintendent of Police Shiv Chaudhary confirmed that the accused will be presented in court on Tuesday. A detailed investigation is currently underway.
