Big Revelation in Aanshika Murder Case: Knife and Rope Recovered from Forest on Accused’s Disclosure, To Be Sent for Forensic Examination

Una, Himachal Pradesh – In a major breakthrough in the highly discussed Aanshika murder case that took place in Bairiyaan Panchayat of Bangana subdivision, the police have recovered the knife and rope used in the murder from the dense forest near Bhindla village based on the accused, Pravesh Kumar’s, disclosure.

Due to the extremely dense forest, the police team faced significant difficulty in recovering the evidence. The recovered weapons will be sent for forensic examination to gather concrete evidence to strengthen the case.

How the Murder Was Committed

In police interrogation, the accused Pravesh confessed that he first tried to strangle Aanshika with a rope. Thinking she had died, he began to leave the spot, but Aanshika regained consciousness after a while.

When Aanshika asked, “What are you doing?” the accused replied, “Now everything is over.” He then tried to slit her throat with a nearby knife, but the attempt was not entirely successful. Afterwards, he used another knife he had brought with him to slit her throat completely, killing her. To destroy the evidence, he poured petrol taken from his bike and set the body on fire.

Other Evidence Recovered

Earlier, Aanshika’s broken mobile phone and damaged SIM card were recovered from the crime scene. The police took the accused to the crime scene to recover the murder weapons.

ASP Surinder Sharma stated that the investigation is being conducted from all angles, and a chargesheet will be filed soon.
