Himachal: Mysterious Fire Continues for Six Days in Kangra Home, Family Terrified, Demands Expert Investigation
A family in Dhupkyara Panchayat of Lambagaon area, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, has been living in fear for the past six days as mysterious fires continue to break out in their home. The incidents began on Sunday when electrical MCVs melted, followed by sudden flames erupting from non-connected appliances like fans and even an old TV.
Despite the electricity board cutting off the power supply as a precaution, the unexplained fires persist. Police and fire department officials have inspected the site but are yet to determine the cause behind the strange phenomenon.
Widespread Panic, Family Sleepless
The continuous fires have left the family in a state of shock and sleep-deprivation. The strange occurrences have also caused panic in the surrounding locality. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far, and all family members remain safe.
TV Catches Fire Without Power Connection
On Wednesday, an old TV caught fire despite not being connected to any power source. Again, on Thursday night at around 9:30 PM, a fan burst into flames under mysterious circumstances.
Administration Steps In
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sanjeev Thakur said that upon receiving information, a local revenue officer was sent to assess the situation. The family was offered temporary accommodation in a nearby school. The SDM also assured that he would personally visit the site.
However, homeowner Sansar Chand has expressed his unwillingness to leave his house unattended. "What if a fire breaks out when we're not there? Who will stop it?" he asked. He has urged the administration to send a team of experts to investigate the unexplained fires and uncover the truth behind this alarming situation.
