He was serving in the 19 Dogra Regiment and tragically lost his life at the age of 29 after being struck by tree branches during a storm while on duty in Assam.

The arrival of his mortal remains in his native village brought deep sorrow and mourning to the entire community. His wife Kirti Negi clung to his body in tears and saluted him with a heart-wrenching tribute: “I will live with your name forever and never let another name be part of my life.” Their six-year-old son Aetik stood silently, watching the mourners with innocent eyes.

The atmosphere echoed with chants of “Shaheed Pushpendra Negi Amar Rahe” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as hundreds gathered to bid farewell.
