Himachal Pradesh Government Notifies Enhanced Pension for Former HPPSC Chairpersons and Members
Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has issued a notification announcing enhanced monthly pension benefits for former Chairpersons and Members of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC). As per the gazette notification released by the Department of Personnel on Monday, only those appointees who were not employed in any government or public sector organization prior to their appointment in the Commission will be eligible for the revised pension.
According to the amended Rule 11-A of the HPPSC (Members) Regulations, 1974, former Chairpersons will receive ₹8,000 per month for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of ₹48,000 per month. Former Members will be entitled to ₹7,500 per completed year, with a ceiling of ₹45,000 per month.
The pension amount will be increased annually by 6%.
However, those who were previously employed in government services, including central or state governments, local bodies, universities, recognized private schools, affiliated colleges, or other government-controlled institutions, will not be eligible for this revised pension benefit.
