NIT Hamirpur Students Land Crore-Worthy Packages, Stellar Start to 2025-26 Placement Season
The 2025-26 placement season at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur has kicked off on a high note, with around 26 students from various departments receiving lucrative job offers from top national and international companies.
In the opening weeks of the season, two B.Tech Computer Science students bagged a whopping ₹68 LPA (lakhs per annum) package each from Atlassian, an Australian-American software company.
Other notable offers include:
- ₹58 LPA from D. E. Shaw to one student
- ₹44 LPA from Salesforce
- ₹42.42 LPA each to two students from a private company
- ₹31.31 LPA from MathWorks to two students
- ₹19.75 LPA from JP Morgan
- ₹24 LPA packages were secured by 11 students through offers from Wells Fargo.
- ₹12 LPA each to 6 students from Accenture
Registrar Dr. Archana Santosh Nanoti shared that the institute acts as a bridge between academic excellence and the professional world. She praised the efforts of the placement cell and noted that NIT Hamirpur achieved a placement index of 92.63% last year, with some departments even achieving 100% placements. The highest package last year in Mechanical Engineering reached ₹2.04 crore, and the institute is optimistic about surpassing that this year.
Training & Placement Officer Dr. Somesh Kumar Sharma expressed hope for an even more successful placement run in the coming weeks. NIT Hamirpur keeps reinforcing its role as a gateway to thriving careers in engineering and technology.
