Disproportionate Assets Case: Vigilance Team Reaches Shimla to Identify Bikram Singh Majithia’s Properties
Shimla, July 1, 2025:
In connection with the disproportionate assets case, a team from the Punjab Vigilance Bureau reached Shimla on Monday to identify properties allegedly linked to Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia.
The team took Majithia to an area near the Naldehra Golf Course in Mashobra, where he is suspected of having purchased property through middlemen. The officers—eight in total—arrived in three vehicles, stayed for around an hour, and then returned to Punjab.
Majithia is also facing serious charges of money laundering. The Vigilance Bureau claims that he amassed wealth worth over ₹540 crore through illegal means, with no legitimate source of income. His properties in Amritsar, Chandigarh, and now Shimla are all under investigation.
The identification of properties in Mashobra is part of a broader probe aimed at uncovering allegedly illegal assets acquired by Majithia.
