Amid Heavy Rainfall, Amit Shah Assures All Possible Help to States
In light of the torrential rainfall across various parts of the country, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh to take stock of the situation and extend the Centre's support.
In a tweet, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that due to heavy rainfall across several regions of the country, he held discussions with the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh. He assured that sufficient NDRF teams have been deployed to support relief efforts in the affected areas, and additional personnel will be dispatched if needed.Shah emphasized that the central government stands ready to extend all necessary assistance to the states.
Many hilly areas have been affected by landslides and floods, while some plains are also facing waterlogging and disruptions in daily life. The central government has mobilized multiple NDRF teams to handle the emerging disaster situations.
