143 SMC Teacher Posts to be Filled Through LDR Quota in Himachal; Remaining Posts Reserved for Future Recruitment
Shimla, September 10 — The Himachal Pradesh government has issued orders to fill a total of 143 posts from SMC teachers across various categories through Limited Direct Recruitment (LDR) in the Education Department. The government has issued the order to the Directorate of School Education.
According to the government, recruitment under the 5% LDR quota will be carried out based on existing and anticipated vacancies up to March 31, 2025. The remaining 1,284 posts will be filled in future years under the 5% LDR quota, with the concession applicable only to vacancies falling under the batch-wise quota category.
Since 1,284 vacancies are not available this year under the LDR quota, selected candidates will be included in potential future vacancies under the relevant recruitment rules. The recruitment process will be conducted through the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala.
A total of 1,427 SMC teachers will be recruited as job trainees as per the notification issued by the Personnel Department.

- TGT Sanskrit — 6 posts
- Drawing Master — 16 posts
- TGT Hindi — 11 posts
- TGT Arts — 24 posts
- TGT Non-Medical — 13 posts
- TGT Medical — 11 posts
This recruitment drive aims to enhance the quality and expertise of teachers and address the shortage in the education department.
