New Delhi: Next week, a crucial meeting of G7 countries is set to take place in Italy. During this summit, G7 nations could pour investments into India. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will be present in Reggio Calabria, Italy, next week to participate in a bilateral meeting with counterparts from G7 countries. In an official statement on Saturday, it was mentioned that discussions during this period will focus on exploring new avenues for trade and investment, resolving bilateral trade issues, and strengthening economic cooperation.
Reggio Calabria is a coastal city in southern Italy where this meeting is scheduled to take place.
G7 Group Comprises Seven Industrialized Nations:
The G7 group includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. According to the statement, the objective of these meetings is to find new pathways for trade and investment, resolve bilateral trade issues, and strengthen economic cooperation. During the G7 Trade Ministers' Meeting in Italy (July 16-17), Goyal will engage in these discussions.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated, "During this trip, Goyal will also highlight the investment opportunities available in India. Before the Italy visit, on July 14-15, he will be in Switzerland discussing the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA)."
This commitment enhances India's dedication to global trade and investment partnerships.
