Himachal Weather: Clear Skies Expected Until February 22, Rain and Snow Likely in Eight Districts on February 23

Snowfall and Rain in Himachal Pradesh; Eight Districts May See Precipitation on February 23

Snowfall was reported on Wednesday in the higher mountainous regions of Himachal Pradesh. Snow fell on peaks including Atal Tunnel Rohtang, Rohtang Pass, Kunzum Pass, and Shinkula Pass. Meanwhile, light rain was recorded in several areas of Shimla, Sirmaur, and Solan.

According to the Meteorological Department, clear weather is expected across the state until February 22. On February 23, due to the activity of the Western Disturbance, rain and snowfall are likely in eight districts of the central and higher Himalayan regions.

Clouds covered many parts of the state on Wednesday. In Una, the maximum temperature reached 28°C with sunlight. Other recorded maximum temperatures include Shimla 13.1°C, Dharamshala 20.0°C, Nahan 19.3°C, Solan 15.5°C, Manali 12.4°C, Kangra 22.0°C, and Mandi 19.9°C.

Bus services through Atal Tunnel Rohtang and Jalodi Pass continued normally. The Meteorological Department has advised caution for travelers in the mountainous regions on February 23.
