Severe Fire Destroys Two-Storey House in Naling-2, Kinnaur; Youth Escapes Safely
In the remote Naling-2 village of Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh, a two-storey wooden house was gutted by a severe fire on Friday morning. Within minutes, four rooms of the house were reduced to ashes.
At the time of the incident, Budhram’s son, Subhash, was sleeping inside. Villagers noticed smoke rising from the house and rushed to the spot, breaking the door to rescue Subhash safely.
Budhram was away due to illness, while his wife had gone elsewhere. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and losses are estimated in lakhs of rupees.
Villagers have urged the administration to provide relief and assistance to the affected family. Local Panchayat head Rameshwar Negi and the revenue department team visited the site to assess the damage.
