Baggi (Mandi): Sanjay Sharma Appointed President of Outsourced Computer & Data Entry Operators’ Union
In Mandi, a meeting of outsourced computer operators and data entry operator employees of the Jal Shakti Department was held on Wednesday at the Shimla Secretariat. During the meeting, employees expressed their frustration over non-payment of salaries for the past four months and planned future strategies.
During the meeting, the state executive committee was formed with Sanjay Sharma as President, Bablu Chauhan as Vice President, Sandeep as General Secretary, Geeta and Madhu as Secretaries, Monika Verma, Khemchand, and Ramesh Chand as Treasurers, Anjali Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, and Dhyan Singh as Chief Advisors, and Ram Kumari, Pawan Kumar, and Deshraj Shastri as Media In-charges.
In a press release from Mandi, Vice President Bablu Chauhan stated that the government has not formulated a policy for outsourced employees for a long time, causing frustration among employees across the state. Non-payment of salaries on time has further aggravated their concerns. He added that the union delegation will meet Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday, 27 February, and urged all members to reach Shimla for the meeting.
