Bilaspur: 949 Grams of Charas Seized from Car Near Baloh Toll Plaza, Two Haryana Youth Arrested

In Bilaspur’s Ghumarwin area, the police achieved a major success in a special anti-drug operation. Near Baloh Toll Plaza on the Keeratpur-Nerchowk four-lane road, police recovered 949 grams of charas from a car and arrested two youths from Haryana on the spot.

On Tuesday night, the Ghumarwin police team had set up a special checkpoint near the toll plaza, inspecting vehicles passing on the four-lane road. A car coming from Mandi was stopped on suspicion. When the initial questioning did not yield satisfactory answers, the police searched the vehicle and found 949 grams of charas hidden in the car’s dashboard.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Vikas (29), son of Chand Singh, and Sombir (27), son of Ramphal, residents of Aladadarpur village, Guhana police station, Sonipat district, Haryana. A case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.

SP Sandeep Dhawal stated that such operations will continue to strictly curb drug trafficking, and no one involved in smuggling will be spared.
