Himachal: Five HPS Officers Promoted to IPS and Appointed to Himachal Cadre
Shimla: The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification promoting five officers of the Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPS) to the Indian Police Service (IPS). The appointments have been made under the 2023 and 2024 select lists for the Himachal Pradesh cadre.
Under the 2023 select list, Veerendra Kalia, Bhupinder Singh, Naresh Kumar, and Vinod Kumar have been promoted to IPS. Under the 2024 select list, Shamsher Singh has been included.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, all promoted officers will serve a one-year probation period under the Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, and will undergo the prescribed induction training. The appointments are effective from the date of issuance of this notification.
