Rampur: The Chaurakh (Chaturvarshik Shraddh) ceremony of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Late Virbhadra Singh will be held on June 24 at Padam Palace in Rampur. The event will be attended by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal Congress in-charge Rajni Patil, Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan, and several ministers, dignitaries, and political leaders. The entire state cabinet has also been specially invited to the ceremony.
Preparations for the event are in full swing. A day prior to the ceremony, a blood donation camp was organized by the Rampur Block Congress at the Padam Palace premises. The ceremony marks four years since the passing of the beloved leader.
The Deputy Chief Minister will not attend the event due to a private religious ceremony (Bhagwat Katha) at his residence.
Special Traffic Arrangements:
Due to the expected high attendance, a special traffic arrangement has been made by the administration. From 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM on June 24, both heavy and light vehicles will be diverted via Wazir Bawdi through Jhakri. Dedicated parking spaces have been designated for VVIP vehicles, while parking on NH-5 within city limits will be strictly prohibited.
